Jesús calma la tempestad — Historia Bíblica

Mark 4:35-41

En el barco con los discípulos, Jesús domina el viento y el mar.

After an exhausting day of teaching, Jesus said to the disciples: "Let's cross to the other side." They got in the boat. He laid his head down and slept as one who trusts — while the sky, suddenly, darkened. The Sea of Galilee knows violent storms: wind rushes down from the mountains and turns the lake in minutes.

Waves crashed into the boat. Experienced fishermen, terrified. They woke Jesus shouting: "Teacher, don't you care if we drown?" — fear and faith mixed in the same sentence. Jesus stood up. He did not run. He looked at the wind.

He said two words to the sea: "Quiet! Be still!" Everything fell silent — as if nature held its breath. The boat floated on a mirror. Jesus looked at his friends: "Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?"

They were amazed, asking who this man was that even wind and sea obey him. The storm passed, but the lesson remained: Jesus does not promise a calm sea always — he promises to be in the boat.

Reflexión

You know this storm — bad news, diagnosis, loss, uncertainty that won't let you sleep. The disciples thought Jesus did not care because he was quiet. But he was in the boat. Sometimes God calms the storm; other times he calms the heart inside it. Today, if fear shouts louder than faith, remember: the One who slept on the deck woke up and mastered the sea. You are not alone on this crossing.
