Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
Provérbios 3:5-6
Psalm
A Song of Ascents. I will lift up my eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from? My help comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved. He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. Yahweh is your keeper. Yahweh is your shade on your right hand. The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forever more.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I choose to trust in You with all my heart today, letting go of my own limited understanding. Guide me in all my ways, and I know You will make my path clear and straight. Amen.
Curiosity
In ancient Hebrew thought, the "heart" (lev or levav) was understood as the core of a person's being, encompassing intellect, will, and moral character, not just emotions. Therefore, trusting the Lord "with all your heart" meant committing your entire mind, will, and affections to Him, rather than relying solely on your own rational thought.
